Who We Are

Continuum are a specialist practice of property consultants, advising local, regional, and national clients on the development of the built environment. Formed in 2017 to focus on advising on complex development propositions, the Continuum team have a successful track record of delivering innovative development advice across a variety of sectors including residential, mixed-use, leisure and retail.

We advise on all elements of the development continuum utilising a specialist expertise gained from experience in a diverse range of sectors and services giving us the ability to provide a holistic service encompassing concept design, the planning process, through to development delivery.

Continuum provide viable and deliverable solutions to the most challenging of projects, maximising return and outputs for our clients whilst effectively managing project risk.

Our success is founded upon working in collaboration with our clients to deliver their business aspirations and objectives. We seek to add value across the whole development lifecycle from concept stages and strategy through to contract completion.

Our experience in strategy, policy and delivery in both public and private sectors has provided us with an unrivalled understanding of technical, commercial, and political issues throughout the development continuum.

Continuum brings together enthusiastic, like minded professionals who aim to provide a solutions led service for our clients. The in-depth knowledge developed by our people, and their ability to adapt and communicate, promotes sustained relationships. We work best as a team and are able to offer a unique service that allows us to adapt to our clients’ needs at every stage of the development process. We work together with our clients providing intelligent, robust consultancy advice to ensure the best solutions are achieved.

Development projects regularly include a high level of complexity and take considerable time from inception to completion, as such we believe teamwork to be essential in creating successful outcomes. The wide range of unique skillsets offered by our people allow us to work in collaboration with stakeholders to develop and deliver our clients’ visions and aspirations. We have formed strong and long-lasting relationships with our clients who appreciate working with proactive and creative people.

Our Approach

We take a holistic approach to the understanding of land, property, and the development process, not just focusing on the transactional outputs. We deliver an all-encompassing assessment of the outputs of development, giving clients a level of knowledge that allows them to make an informed decision on how to proceed. Should the decision be made to pursue a development proposition, we can offer a range of services including development management, viability, regeneration, and planning consultancy either assisting, or directly delivering, major projects.

The four stages of the “development continuum” have been derived directly from our experience of successfully delivering complex development projects. Our comprehensive understanding of this process allows us to assist our clients in the delivery of viable projects. Maximising the suite of development outputs whether it be value, commercial return, revenue streams, economic investment, job creation or effectively managing risk and opportunity, are all key parts of what we do.

Our Communities

Continuum have an active role in the communities in which we live, work, and play enabling us to contribute to provide social benefits. This provides greater understanding of the people and communities we engage with enabling us to contribute to providing social benefits and cohesion whilst strengthening ourselves as a practice.

We are passionate about transferring our knowledge and skills to others who are seeking a career in the property and development sector. We currently contribute towards the improvement of higher education through our involvement with both Oxford Brookes and Leeds Beckett University where we provide guest lectures and seminars.

Our staff have the opportunity to take ‘charity days’ every year, where they are able to undertake voluntary work in the community or participate in fundraising events.
